The Sauvignon blanc variety in southern Styria is a particularly important variety for Johannes. Since Johannes was also able to get to know a wide variety of Sauvignon blanc vinifications in New Zealand, it is always a heart project.
The Sauvignon blanc "aR" 2017 are grapes from our 40-year-old plant and that's why this wine can bear the name "old vines". Highly ripe grapes were pressed into a harmonious wine. After 18 months of storage in French oak barrels, the wine was bottled. Now the Sauvignon Blanc “aR” 2017 has matured perfectly in the bottle and delights us with light wood aromas, a hint of vanilla and a fruit explosion on the palate. The finish is harmonious and strong.
